As the daughter of an architect, Catarina always loved going to her father’s atelier to get his most expensive pens and just have some fun making meaningless drawings.

Still, she was always more interested in sports, particularly in her journey as a tennis player, and did not really feel she had a message to share with the world. This has changed, now drawing, and creating are mandatory in her life and she create s based on her interpretation of manyaspects of society, which simultaneously disturb and fascinate her. Aspects that are, in her mind, easier to comprehend through art than through a conversation.

Above all, she hopes you feel an emotional connection to the different messages portrayed by her art. She creates based on her feelings and concerns, she creates because she wants to, she creates because she can, she creates because she must.
